Weighted Leg Extension Crunch

A core exercise combining a crunch with a resisted leg extension to engage the abdominals.

How to do it

  1. Lie flat on your back with knees bent, holding a weight across your chest.
  2. Lift your legs to tabletop position (knees over hips, 90-degree bend).
  3. Simultaneously extend your legs outward and crunch your upper body up.
  4. Pause briefly at peak contraction.
  5. Return arms and legs to the starting position.

  • Keep core braced
  • Don't arch lower back

  • Crunch chest up
