Band Standing Calf Raise

Standing calf raise performed with a resistance band to strengthen the calves.

How to do it

  1. Stand with feet shoulder-width on the band.
  2. Hold band handles by sides or at shoulders for resistance.
  3. Keep torso upright and brace core.
  4. Raise heels to stand on the balls of your feet, contracting calves.
  5. Lower heels back to the floor slowly.

Form cues

  • Go all the way up
  • Pause at the top
  • Lower slowly
  • Keep core engaged

Common mistakes

  • Partial reps
  • Letting heels drop too quickly
  • Leaning forward or backward

Breathing

Exhale as you rise, inhale as you lower.
