Bent Knee Lying Twist on Stability Ball

A rotational stretch on a stability ball that targets the obliques and hip flexors.

How to do it

  1. Lie on your back with calves on a stability ball.
  2. Extend arms out at your sides for support.
  3. Bend knees at 90 degrees over the ball.
  4. Slowly drop knees to one side, keeping shoulders flat.
  5. Return to center and repeat on the other side.

Form cues

  • Keep shoulders grounded
  • Control the twist
  • Engage core
  • Move slowly

Common mistakes

  • Letting shoulders lift off floor
  • Moving too quickly
  • Over-twisting hips

Breathing

Exhale as you twist, inhale returning to center.
