Seated Boat Stretch

A seated flexibility stretch focusing on the inner thighs and hips.

How to do it

  1. Sit on the floor with back straight.
  2. Bring soles of feet together and let knees drop out.
  3. Hold ankles or feet for support.
  4. Gently pull feet closer and lean forward slightly.
  5. Hold position without bouncing.

Form cues

  • Keep chest up
  • Relax knees toward floor
  • Avoid rounding back
  • Go only as far as comfortable

Common mistakes

  • Forcing knees down
  • Hunching shoulders
  • Bouncing during stretch

Breathing

Breathe deeply and regularly while holding the stretch.
