Triceps Dips

A bodyweight exercise that targets the triceps through a pressing motion while lowering and raising the body.

How to do it

  1. Sit on a bench or chair with hands gripping the edge.
  2. Extend legs forward and slide hips off the seat.
  3. Lower body by bending elbows to 90 degrees.
  4. Press through palms to straighten arms and lift body.
  5. Repeat for reps.

Form cues

  • Keep elbows close to your body
  • Lower slowly
  • Press through your palms
  • Avoid shrugging shoulders

Common mistakes

  • Letting shoulders roll forward
  • Dropping hips too low
  • Elbows flaring out

Breathing

Inhale as you lower down, exhale as you push up.
